When my son George was 11 years old 1 bought him a Penn 704Z spinning reel for his
birthday. I told him that if he took care of it that it would last forever. When he turned 16
years old he still had that reel. He received a Penn 975 from me shortly thereafter that
time. George has taken care of his equipment, and become an avid angler. These pictures
and article are a little over a year old but priceless. The Tarpon was caught on that Penn
975. It was weighed 120 lbs. at Fripp Island Marina, Fripp Island, SC.

70 lb Lingcod

Check out this 70 pound lingcod that I caught this weekend. It's less than 10 pounds behind the world record. I caught it with the same (Kodiak Custom Fishing Tackle) Bottom Fishing Jig and (Penn) 113H Special 4/O Senator Reel that I was using when I caught my 420 halibut last year. Another great entry in the trophy portfolio.
